📍 Overview

For six millennia, West Kighfalton stood as the untouchable, golden heart of the Western Empire. As the oldest and wealthiest region in the realm, it was a completely developed expanse of pristine, concrete-paved metropolises, towering golden spires, and endless, perfectly cultivated farmlands. Housing nearly 2 million free citizens and serving as the impenetrable seat of Imperial power under House Itomas, the region had famously survived every civil war and regime change in history without ever being sacked. That legendary invincibility was shattered five years ago. A modest but devastating horde of orcs, ogres, goblins, and cyclopes from the Isle of the Cyclops utilized a powerful ritual to tear open a portal directly into the capital of Caer Itom.

The invaders’ initial numbers were dwarfed by the might of House Itomas’ armies, but the tide turned almost overnight. West Kighfalton’s economy was built on the backs of a massive slave population—numbering roughly half the size of the free citizenry. The invaders immediately shattered the chains of the oppressed, sparking a colossal, region-wide rebellion that utterly overwhelmed the Imperial guards and Lord Itomas’s forces from within. For five years to present, the newly liberated forces have occupied the capital, transforming the chaotic uprising into a highly organized, heavily armed military machine. The traditionally barbaric races were forged into a strictly disciplined coalition of goblins, orcs, ogres, wolfen, and freed slaves, all taking quiet, strategic orders from their Cyclops saviors who rule from the shadows. What is left of the 2 million residents of this region have either been slaughtered on enslaved themselves.

Today, the once-flawless paved roads and lush farmlands of West Kighfalton are the staging grounds for brutal, open conflict. The disciplined monstrous army has marched outward from the capital, utterly crushing the regional forces of House Gioto, House Milaszc, and House Decurance. Their unstoppable momentum has even allowed them to push out of the heartland and into the Koerdian Mountains, recently capturing the mountain capital of Syrefald. The heart of the Western Empire has stopped beating for the nobility, serving instead as the bloody forge of a new, terrifyingly organized monstrous nation.

🗺️ Points of Interest

  • Caer Itom

  • (The Liberated Capital) - Once the shining jewel and political center of the Western Empire, the city is now the heavily fortified command center of the monster and freed-slave armies. The remnants of its golden towers now fly the banners of the rebellion.

  • The Cyclopean Rift

  • The epicenter of the invasion located within Caer Itom, where the massive portal to the Isle of the Cyclops was ripped open five years ago. It remains heavily guarded by elite ogre and wolfen shock troops.

  • Ruins of Syrefald

  • The recently captured capital in the Koerdian Mountains. Its fall marks the dangerous expansion of the Cyclopes’ war machine beyond the borders of West Kighfalton.

  • The Undercity Catacombs

  • The sprawling, flawless sewers beneath West Kighfalton’s cities are plagued by a massive population of Ratlings (numbering roughly 30% of the original free population). With the human authorities gone, the Ratlings have become a dangerous, unpredictable wild card in the ongoing urban warfare.

  • The Bloodied Roads - The famous interlocking brick roads that connect the region’s cities and ports. Once the arteries of unmatched imperial commerce, they are now heavily contested supply lines, lined with the wreckage of House Decurance and House Milaszc caravans.
