📍 Overview

For centuries, House Itomas was the undisputed master of West Kighfalton, known for its heavy-handed but highly effective governance, low taxes, and swift justice. Elevated to the Imperial seat by the childless Emperor Zeketri, House Itomas brought a renewed era of patriotism, military expansion, and reconstruction to the Western Empire under the brilliant but ruthless Emperor Voelkian Itomas II.

However, the legacy of House Itomas was shattered five years ago when the Cyclopean Vanguard and the slave rebellions sacked Caer Itom. The Imperial family was nearly annihilated in the slaughter. Today, the surviving remnants of the House have relocated to Caer Glaverius. Lasha Itomas has staked the claim as the sole living heir and crowned herself Empress of the Western Empire. Operating from exile, she is actively expanding an intricate network of spies to undermine her political rivals. She strictly avoids engaging the monstrous hordes and slave armies occupying her ancestral home, calculating that she must first secure absolute, unquestioned loyalty across the rest of the Empire before she can mount a crusade to reclaim West Kighfalton.

đź‘‘ Key Members of House Itomas

Empress Lasha Itomas (Living)

The former High Duchess and master spy, Lasha is now the self-proclaimed Empress of the Western Empire, ruling from Caer Glaverius. A brilliant intelligence gatherer who once played the role of a spoiled socialite, she now directs a shadow war against her political rivals to solidify her tenuous claim to the throne.

  • Unique Abilities: A Major Psionic (capable of healing, levitation, and bio-regeneration) who utilizes her extreme charm and intellect for espionage.

  • Notable Items: The Eye of Itomas (a priceless 1,500-carat emerald), a pair of daggers coated in Basilisk’s Eye poison, an amulet of invisibility and blinding flash, and a vast collection of “war trophies” (stolen signet rings, daggers, and tokens from rival nobles used for blackmail).

Emperor Voelkian Itomas II (Deceased)

The brilliant military reformer and political mastermind who rebuilt the Western Empire’s forces. A severe, paranoid man obsessed with loyalty, he possessed a twisted code of honor. He died during the Fall of Caer Itom, his mind ultimately overwhelmed while trying to psionically battle the monstrous vanguard breaching the throne room.

  • Unique Abilities: A staggeringly powerful mutant Mind Mage with triple the normal psychic reserves, capable of telekinesis, mind control, and telepathy, which he kept strictly secret from the public.

  • Notable Items: Ancient gem-encrusted dwarven blades, the ceremonial Itomas rapier-dagger, and twin rings inherited from his father (granting magical armor and extreme resistance to physical/magical threats).

Lords Skordi Itomas and Kieju Itomas (Deceased)

Identical twins and the brutal “Twin Furies” of the Emperor. They commanded the Imperial Guard and served as Voelkian’s ultimate enforcers. They died back-to-back on the steps of the Imperial Palace, fighting a mountain of ogres and wolfen to buy time for their sister Lasha to escape the city.

  • Unique Abilities: Shared a symbiotic, near-telepathic bond that made them perfectly synchronized in combat, granting them blinding speed and lethal precision when attacking the same target.

  • Notable Items: Matching sets of jet-black, silent magical plate armor. Skordi wielded a magical longsword that spat fire, while Kieju wielded one that shot lightning. Both carried magical berdiches (polearms) and heavy lightning javelins.

Lord Aromus Caldran Itomas (Deceased)

The bitter, 60-year-old uncle and former Regent of the Empire. A traitor who leaked state secrets to rival houses and suffered from a horrific addiction to [[H]ungerblood]] (which caused cravings for raw flesh). When the slave population of Caer Itom rebelled, Aromus was dragged from his chambers and torn apart in the streets by the very people he had brutally oppressed.

  • Unique Abilities: A master manipulator and politician.

  • Notable Items: He had pawned all of his powerful magical artifacts to feed his drug addiction, leaving him defenseless when the city fell.

General Nos Rotha (Living)

The High Commander of the surviving Imperial Armed Forces and a native of the Yin-Sloth Jungles. Harboring a deep, unrequited love for Lasha Itomas, Rotha was absolutely instrumental in her survival during the fall of Caer Itom. He carved a bloody path through the invading cyclopean warlords and monster hordes, ensuring the future Empress escaped the capital with her life. Now standing by her side in exile, he serves as her fiercest protector and chief military strategist. However, the dark artifact he wields has begun to slowly warp his once-honorable nature, making him increasingly ruthless as they plot to reclaim their empire.

  • Unique Abilities: Impervious to possession and highly resistant to mind control. His tactical genius is augmented by his weapon, though he is currently locked in a battle of willpower against its corrupting influence.

  • Notable Items: Wields the legendary Rune Sword Tycho—a sentient, Aberrant blade that absorbed the souls and tactical knowledge of every past Itomas general, capable of casting high-level wizard and air elemental magic. Also possesses fire-proof armor, a returning buzz-saw magical shield, and lightning javelins.

Father Lamriel (Deceased)

An ancient elven Priest of Light haunted by a holy war in his past. He acted as the Emperor’s spiritual diplomat. Refusing to abandon his congregation when the portal opened, Lamriel was martyred on the steps of the High Temple while attempting to broker a peaceful surrender with the invading orc hordes.

  • Unique Abilities: Divine Priest of Light magic combined with basic wizardry (Tongues, Sense Magic, Armor of Ithan).

  • Notable Items: A private vault containing a magical mace and chain specifically crafted to obliterate demonic entities, and an endless supply of Teleport: Superior scrolls.

”The Slayer of Mountains” / Sessenun (Missing / Defected)

A mythical, 8,500-year-old being who masqueraded as a frail, ancient elven wizard to serve as Emperor Voelkian’s chief advisor. When Caer Itom fell five years ago, the Slayer of Mountains simply vanished. He has turned his back entirely on House Itomas, his current whereabouts and motives unknown to the surviving Empress.

  • Unique Abilities: He is secretly a colossal Great Horned Dragon in elven guise. He possesses incalculable magical power, knowing every Wizard spell and Spell of Legend in existence, along with master-level psionics and dragon-kin shape-shifting.

  • Notable Items: Izanbal the Persuader, a Greater Rune Staff capable of casting elemental and utility magic. Also possesses a cape of dimensions, a demon-slaying silver dagger, and a hoard of ancient Old Kingdom Dragon Coins hidden in the Koerdian Mountains.
