House Dallimothan

The House of Dragons

If House Sadar rules the shadows and House Khatru rules the barracks, House Dallimothan rules through pure, awe-inspiring majesty. Universally known across Ptolus as “House Dragon,” this family is one of the most politically stable, physically imposing, and fiercely conservative anchors on the Council of Coin.

The family claims to possess ancient, ancestral bonds with dragonkind dating back to the first ages of Eraedal. They make no effort to hide this supernatural connection; their members exclusively wear magnificent, masterwork dragonscale armor, decorate their standard with draconic iconography, and speak fluent Draconic as a household language. On the council, Lord Kirstol Dallimothan acts as a pillar of aristocratic traditionalism—staunchly supporting the rule of law, protecting noble privileges, and opposing the rapid, chaotic rise of “new money” factions like House Abanar or the tech-worshiping House Shever.

  • Estate Location: Perched dramatically on the highest, sunlit eastern cliffs of the Nobles’ Quarter. The Dallimothan Estate is less of a manor and more of a grand, sweeping citadel built from gleaming white stone. The towers are intentionally designed with wide, open-air platforms and sweeping perches. High-society gossips frequently whisper that the family harbors actual young dragons within their subterranean cliffside vaults, and locals swear they occasionally see massive, winged silhouettes flying to and from the estate under the cover of storms.

Prominent Family Members (Public Knowledge)

Lord Kirstol Dallimothan

  • Status: Patriarch & Master of the House

  • Pathfinder 2e Concept: Level 13 Human Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline - Gold or Red) or Draconic Scion Champion

  • Description: An exceptionally tall, regal man with piercing eyes and a commanding, resonant voice that effortlessly silences a rowdy Council of Coin chamber. Kirstol exudes a natural, almost supernatural aura of majesty. He views the other noble houses through a lens of detached superiority, positioning House Dallimothan as the absolute protectors of traditional Draconic honor, law, and stability within the Western Empire.

Lady Vanya Dallimothan

  • Status: Eldest Daughter & High-Society Justiciar

  • Pathfinder 2e Concept: Level 9 Human Champion (Paladin cause / Dragon Disciple Archetype)

  • Description: Fierce, proud, and completely unyielding, Vanya is the martial champion of the family. Clad in brilliant, polished red dragonscale full plate, she occasionally operates as a high-level diplomatic liaison between the Nobles’ Quarter and the traditional wings of the Church. She has absolute zero tolerance for organized crime or chaotic adventuring factions, viewing the underworld syndicates and reckless delvers as a plague that threatens the structural order of Ptolus.

PF2e Mechanical Identity for Vault Tagging

Behind the GM screen, use these Pathfinder 2e baselines to flavor House Dallimothan household knights, bloodline mages, and elite estate guardians:

  • Ancestry: Predominantly Human, but almost exclusively possessing the Dragon Disciple archetype or the Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline) class to represent their inherent magical lineage.

  • Class Focus: Sorcerers (Draconic), Champions (dedicated to lawful or draconic deities), and Fighters utilizing heavy shields and draconic-themed weaponry.

  • Signature Archetypes: Dragon Disciple and Sentinel.

  • Signature Magic/Abilities: Their agents lean heavily on abilities and spells with the Fire, Cold, or Electricity traits (depending on their specific draconic color affiliation), alongside features that grant Darkvision, Draconic Resilience (resistance to specific energy types), and the iconic Dragon Breath focus spells.

  • Common Associations: They are highly respected, traditional allies of The Commissar (Igor Urnst) and the orthodox martial factions of the city. They look upon the criminal elements of House Vladaam with open disgust, maintain a cold, competitive rivalry with the shadow-wielding House Sadar, and view the mercantile upstarts of House Abanar as completely devoid of true nobility.
